Where are the new signings?

Neil Warnock made his first new signing for Leeds when he got the signature of highly rated centre back Jason Pearce but Leeds United supporters were hoping to see more signings by the end of this week. That doesn't look like that's going to happen as the other Portsmouth player Leeds were interested in, Joel Ward, is talking to several other clubs so it will be next week before he decides where his future lies.

The other news is that Ross McCormack has said he won't sign a new contract. He has been offered a better contract but it looks like he is keeping his options open. McCormack scored 19 goals last season and he will be difficult to replace if he moves on elsewhere. He still has one year left on his contract but Leeds may well decide to sell him now rather than let him go on a free contract at the end of next season.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few days.

Leeds to play pre season in Norway

Good old Neil Warnoock. He is really doing his best to get some good new players for the start of next season. I have a good feeling about this!

For once Leeds appear to have some money to spend on players in the £400,000 to £500,000 range and for the Championship that buys you a good player. In recent seasons Leeds have been heavily into the loan market and you don't get committed players on loan for a short time. You only get committed players who know that they have a good contract.

Leeds have lined up some good pre-season friendly games including one in Norway and they also appear to be lining up a friendly game against Premier League opposition.

I can't wait to see who the next signing is !

Somma on his way back

Davide Somma, the prolific goal scoring sub is on his was back to fitness for Leeds United after suffering crutiate ligament damage in  a pre season game last season. He subsequently missed all of the 2011 to 2012 season and has had two operations.

Somma, however, is back in training after having made a full recovery and is expected to start pre season training with the rest of the squad in July.

Neil Warnock has been hearing very encouraging reports from first team coach Mick Jones about Somma.

Somma scored some fantastic goal for Leeds, mainly after coming off the subs bench and everytime I saw him play he looked like a very strong and skillful player.

Lets hope he is 100% fit and carries on where he left off before his injury.

Snodgrass offered top deal to stay at Leeds

Neil Warnock has said that Robert Snodgrass has been offered a great pay deal to stay at Leeds for another 12 months. Warnock told Yorkshire Radio that he has told Snodgrass that one way or the other he will be playing Premier League football after the end of next season either with Leeds or another club.

Snodgrass is thinking about the offer but it looks like he won't make his mind up until he sees which players Warnock will bring to the club over the next few weeks.

Jason Pearce signs for Leeds

The rebuilding has started at Leeds United with Jason Pearce signing a 4 year deal. Pearce, aged 24, has signed from Portsmouth after previously playing for Bournemouth.

Pearce is highly thought of and has won several player awards. The signing fee is undisclosed but he promises to be a great asset for Leeds.

Bring them on !

Robert Snodgrass might leave Leeds

It's looking very likely that Robert Snodgrass will leave. With one year left on his contract the club are thinking that it might be best to cash in on him if he doesn't sign a new contract.

Snodgrass has recently been voted player of the season and Norwich City are showing an interest in him as well as one or two other Premier League clubs. If he goes to Norwich he will join Leeds' old boys, Bradley Johnson and Jonny Howson.

My view is that if a player does not want to play for Leeds then they should leave. Lets get players in who want  to get the club back into the Premier League !

11 Leeds players told they are not wanted

No real surprises in the list of players at Leeds United told that they are not wanted for next season. However one name is surprising ....Adam Clayton the ex Man City midfielder has been transfer listed !

I'm pleased that Neil Warnock has taken the difficult decisions needed to get Leeds a decent team because the present bunch of players are just not good enough or skilled enough to create a good team.

Only Robert Snodgrass and Aiden White have been offered new contracts.

Can't wait to see which new players are signed !
